In 1929, Jean-Pierre Choribit returned from Chile and decided to create the Trinquet Berria. This trinquet was intended to be the most beautiful and the largest, so that pelota players would feel like they were in paradise.
In 2018, the hotel reopened after renovations by Jean-Marc Charritton and began hosting bare-handed pelota matches.
Since 2023, Nicolas Montceau and Julien Bonnal have relocated the restaurant
La Maison de Pierre within the hotel, offering a complete experience in this vibrant setting.
